Upon A Conjured Conjecture (NE0005)

Description:
Damn...that title took me forever to think up, my head hurts...and looking at it, I don't think it means what I thought it did, or set out to be. But whatever...it sounds cool, and I don't care anymore.

So, continuing on, this ties in with my last few shots, this would be the arches you see in 'Desecration of solace'

And again, just like the Obelisk:
I see a simplistic beauty in this, If you don't, then this shot isn't for you.
If you are like me, and you do see, then...

I like the play of light and shadows. Very nice DM.
Report
the light certainly adds a lot.
Thank you Prosey

(question, I can never figure out if I'm supposed to put an 'e' in your nickname or not, and I've been alternating because of such , enlighten me?)

You're welcome.

...I don't have a preference. I've seen it spelled both ways, and I'm fine with either.

Nice lines in this. It really moves the eye around the photo nicely. A little more detail in the shadowed area would have been nice. It would look good in a modernist gallery.
Report
What do you mean by more detail? a larger surrounding view?
And thank you as well Yea, a bit simplistic, but sometimes toning things down goes much further.
And its easy on the eyes
Report
I mean, being able to see into the shadows. We see the lines go into the shadows, but then they disappear. If you're shooting in raw you can use a little fill light to lighten the shadows just enough to see those lines. It's a nitpicky thing, but you did ask for crits... I agree easy on the eyes and I like the way it works.
Report
But if we saw into shadows...wouldn't that mean we have nocturnal vision?
lol, I get what you mean now
Sadly though, I haven't been shooting in raw format, and I probably should. But what I lack from doing so, I try to make up with my vast knowledge in photoshop, excelling at both, and photography would be great, but a step at a time, I'm still learning functions on the camera, and correct terms and techniques.

lol, I know I ask for crits, and I'm happy when I receive them
Report
I like crits, they help me see things differently, and to learn. Sometimes things I think are fantastic don't turn out to be so. That can be bruising, but it's all good!

Shooting in raw just adds a couple of steps to the workflow once you know how it works.
Report
Yea, even if I don't agree with the crit, I'll still listen to it, as its still knowledge and advice which is worth retaining, and it may be applied in a different senerio. Or perhaps It'll lead me to think else where and come to another conclusion.
Advice and crits are two things I take seriously, as they help improve, even if, like you said can be cruising, there still great.
Report
yeah, I don't always agree with a crit either. And as you said, it may be applicable in another situation and it can lead you in another direction. I just value input as long as it's not just your work sucks, etc. That gets filed in the circular bin

great title, and very cool image.
