Cami's gorgeous

Description:
It may not be obvious, but this is a direct development from "Shuriken". It differs in using triangles instead of squares, and in using smaller rotation steps. The maths is actually rather more sophisticated, allowing me to change the rotation step very easily (whereas the code for "Shuriken" is stuck with 30 degrees).

As to the name, [valys]' initial response to this image was "that's gorgeous". I like ambiguity, and some of you will have heard me talk about the type I like best

It still reminds me of a twisting hallway...a very, very pretty twisting hallway.
Report
Thank you

Is it a problem that the hallway only has three lengthways surfaces, instead of the usual four?

...I knew something wasn't quite right for a hallway...just call it a peaked hall?
Report
Never seen that, but let's invent it

Sphynx just..."That's so pretty! Staircases!"

I had been sitting here looking at it, unsure of it...not because I dislike it (I don't) - but just not sure of it. I don't like it as much as Shuriken.

But Sphynx's reaction brought a grin.
Report
Yay Sphynx!

I've long since learned not to be offended by personal preference in others

Indeed, her reaction brought a grin at this end also
Report
*chuckle* I'll be sure to show her this.

Oh, I'm glad...I'd rather be honest in any case...lol.

Especially given that it was first thing in the morning...

Reminds me of Escher's impossible staircases
Report
Thank you. Given my opinion of Escher's work, I'm rather flattered

Consider yourself most flattered then

Terrific! As I mentioned before, your work benefits from the softer tones you've employed lately. Staircase, twisting hallway --- I see all that; this piece gets the imagination flowing, which to me is a sign of good, effective art. As for me, I go straight to the feminine with all that pink plushness and seductive inward motion. This is really nice work. Gotta fave.

Thank you, both for the compliments and for the specifics about what's right

Guess we're all fascinated by the 'seductive inward' nature of the feminine creatures, on some level

Impressive. I love the soft feel and spiraleyness. I think I just invented a new word.
Report
Architectural-ish, but it also makes me think of seashell-spirals and unfurling fern fronds (that's a mouthful).

I agree with the title, in at least three different ways!
Report
I'm always fascinated to see things thought your eyes, particularly things I created

Three ways? You're doing better than me, love - I only thought of two...
Report
Heh. I'll keep up the stream-of-consciousness comments, then?

Wait... that Cami-is-gorgeous, that "Cami's gorgeous"-is-gorgeous... and... and... hell, I'm sure there was a third one.
Report
Please do

Actually, the two meanings were:
-"Cami is gorgeous" (self-explanatory)
-"Cami's 'gorgeous'" (Cami called it gorgeous, so it's her idea of gorgeous)
Report
Yes, I understood both of those. For some reason my brain was trying to throw up a third connotation this afternoon, but I've lost it.

This is such a relaxing piece. :)
