-Brandy-

Description:
This is part of my coursework. Its my first coloured portrait of a dog and I had to do a brindle one.
So I chose my friend, Keihound's dog, Brandy to draw.

I'm happy with this picture, or at least I was until I took a look at the ref I used and realised how off it was. I printed the ref photo off but my printer always prints out in the wrong tones and so it came out lighter than it should. Thus the colours of my picture are a bit off and so is the proportioning of the muzzle (mine's too long). I liked it until then. Unless you compare it to the ref though, the picture looks ok.

I don't know if I'll get the hang of pet portraits but I've only done four of them so I guess I can't be too harsh on myself (even though I always am unless its a simple cartoon drawing)

I think it looks rather good! the eyes are a bit big, but it gives it that cute puppy look.
And you did an amazing job on the fur!

I say keep it up! Really want to see more pet portraits from you! they are tricky, but you certainly have some talent for them!

Thank you! I'm working on some more, I'll have to post them. I did my guinea pig, Nina and I'm working on a full body picture of my cat Borris now. Its looking good so far.
Yeah they are tricky, its getting everything in proportion thats the hardest thing.
