Celebrate the Life

Description:
Found this wonderful Polynesian family celebrating their ancestors who are buried in the plot that they are standing near... it was wonderful to hear them singing Polynesian songs... many that i knew.. they heard me singing along... and asked me to come over. I didn't take their pictures up close as that would of stolen their spirits... respect.

And man oh man, can they sing.

What a terrific experience to have the privilege of witnessing - and *such* an honor to join.

Now i see its actually a very tender moment, so now i feel a tiny touch of guilt that i was gonna make fun! Thanks lol!

Beautiful moments
It really looks much more like a celebration (actually looks like they're throwing a barbecue) than a typical Western mourning ceremony.
