This looks so scary!!! What an awesome capture though!
Report
It does, doesn't it ... but I'm thinking they tested this mechanism thoroughly before letting people on
Thanks
Report
this is an awesome shot. faved it because it is really fabulous...i love how the people look encapsulated as if a time bubble... that is further enhanced by the rain drops.
Report
Thanks bonbon, and thanks for the fav
Yes, it does look kinda odd, seeing people in glass pod suspended from air almost.
Report
you bet rwirtz... you can use my name here, it is ok!
Report
What if I like calling you bonbon, bonbon
Report
if you must, hehe.
Report
Must, no, I'd like bonbon, though
Report
even my friends call me bon or bonbon, funny how that works out.
Report
one time, my friend shelly came into my work to visit and she had a brain fart.could only remember that i was bonbon!! how funny is that? i have never shared my online name with my co-workers.
Report
LOL ... whoops; hope that never happens to me, erm ... bonbon
Report

Lookit that guy takin' a picture of you, too!
Report
Thsnk you for the fav
Yeah, he saw me composing my shot and whipped out his camera, dagnabbit copycat
Report
You're welcome.

Well, that copycat's the reason this got fav'd. It's a very cool detail.
Report
I actually also have a shot of the same pod, but with the other guy not taking a picture
Report
Because as you know I don't take many pictures at all
Report
What a cool BW... very cool....great eye
Report
Thank you and thanks for the fav
Well, I had plenty of time of getting to see photo ops like this, because the wheel turns pretty slowly
Report
An excellent shot.  Really...I love the feel to the picture.  It's just great.
Report
Thanks buddy, and thanks for the fav *man*
You know, I never would have thought that this shot would turn out as *gag* popular as it seems to be, because at that time I just saw a fun shapshot
Report
I like this for so many reasons
1.  The raindrops on the window, adding mood to this beauty.
2.  The greyscale, which also enhances the mood.
3. The overview of the Thames.
4. The activity, even though the people are confined in the pod...they are taking photos, oohing-ahhing.

Beautiful, dear Rene.
Report
Thanks Lorri, your extensive comment and the fav mean a lot
In hindsight the weather being the way it was really was a blessing in disguise
Otherwise I would have not been able to capture this particular mood. Yes, it was fun looking at the pod behind us, seeing the same reactions as I saw in our pod
Report
Yes, it was a blessing in disguise.

Have a nice rest of your Friday.

Report
Thank you Lorri, you have a lovely day too
Report
Love this shot....very nice......

You know~ this shot is as near to allegorical photography as I've seen.

Metaphor.

Symbolism.

& technically your skill is spot on.

Remarkable, Rene

Report

Thanks ... I try, I try
Report
It's an intelligent shot.

One that does not treat it's audience like a bunch of morons incapable of independent thought. It does not fill in  or attempt to beat over the heads of viewers all the blanks of human activity ~ like all very smart work does.

But few have the inter-personal werewithall to pull off.

*Impressive!*

Report

But you know, to be honest, you are seeing more in my captures than I intended while taking them ... it's cool, though
Report
Yes. Of course. That is the MAGIC of setting ones intuitive/creative powers free!

duh

You've been stuck in absolutist, techno-geek land too long

Report
great great picture!
lovely in B&W too
Report
Thanks
And thanks for the fav
Report
Very nice point of view.  Excellent clarity too.  Good work.
Report
Thanks man
Wasn't easy focussing, because it wanted to focus on the waterdrops and not the pod
