Oh, there has to be a reason
for another boring season
spent with braindead inbred cousins
trudging up and down
in endless search
of stupid lifeless shellfish
on that stupid lifeless shore...

...to endure the petty tortures
of that toady town boy Morris
and be trapped and then regaled
by our dreadful Uncle Boris
while he scratches at his middle
drooling black tobacco spittle
while he spews his horrid stories
of his life before the war...

...and that clingy Auntie Gertie
with her frightful table manners
and her frigid lumpy mashers
and her twitchy shifty gropings
as she tries to steal our pennies
she pretends she hasn't any
but we all know she's a liar
'cause we overheard her talking
'bout her mattress stuffed with money
from her filthy lucre spoils
got by cheating at Gin Rummy...

...but things this year are different
and our visit's been more pleasant
'cause my sibling fancies Morris
and she's busting out all over...
...I encountered Morrie's sister
and her given name is Doris
but she calls herself Alexis
and they say she's just a hooker
but my instincts told me different...
then she had me walking funny...
...now I've got a little blister...

...and we murdered Uncle Boris
and we stewed him like a chicken
then we took what was left over
and we stuffed it into sausage
then we fed our aunt her breakfast
while we emptied out her mattress...

WTF! goes on your mind!

Helluva story-poem. Well-narrated...I *liked* the narrator ~ even tho this was a sick story ~ I felt he was sincere~ & not really malignant ~ despite his choices of actions ~ which further creeped me out & amused me

Bravo

I dunno, I guess I've been in a pretty strange frame lately. As I remember, I took a break from watching 'Narnia' one Sunday afternoon to make dinner, and most of this sick thing came to me while I was chopping my ingredients. Something about the rhythm I got going in the kitchen combined with the notion of a bunch of British kids being sent somewhere they don't want to go... I had to keep washing my hands and running back to my computer room to jot down new lines before they escaped me. I was in a really good mood that day.

Thanks Gabbie. I was attempting to come up with an illustration for my poem without much success, trying out all kinds of photos in different combinations and getting nowhere. Then I got the idea to open all the layers in GIMP and make them into an animation, and I thought the result , while pretty goofy, was perfect.

At times, GIMP makes strange pictures. But then at times, I am impressed at what a dull picture can turn into.
GIMP is all I use.

Also, I think your graphic really turned out well. I am impressed.
